Aerobic Athletes Tracking System Using Smart Glove for Physiological and Kinematic Monitoring

Research output: Contribution to journalConference articlepeer-review

Abstract

This paper presents the development of a novel Smart Glove designed specifically for aerobic athletes, enabling real-time monitoring of physiological parameters, including heart rate, SpO2, and body temperature, alongside kinematic data such as speed and distance. Existing wearable devices often lack the combination of accuracy, ergonomics, and cost-effectiveness required for dynamic sports environments. By positioning the primary sensors at the fingertip, this design enhances measurement reliability without restricting movement. The glove incorporates data interpretation, providing actionable feedback via a mobile interface. Methodology, experimental results, and key findings demonstrate the efficacy and usability of this solution.
