My teaching focuses on undergraduate and postgraduate education in Clinical Laboratory Sciences, with a specialisation in haematology. As an Assistant Professor at Imam Abdulrahman bin Faisal University, I teach and coordinate courses covering haematological physiology and pathology, the laboratory diagnosis of haematological and haemostatic disorders, and advanced diagnostic approaches. My teaching emphasises scientific reasoning, interpretation of laboratory findings, and the integration of theoretical knowledge with laboratory-based diagnostic principles and clinical practice. I also supervise postgraduate research, including Master’s projects investigating a range of haematological disorders.

My research interests centre on the molecular basis of inherited disorders, with particular expertise in inherited platelet bleeding disorders. My doctoral research employed whole-exome sequencing, CRISPR gene editing, gene expression profiling, and functional characterisation to investigate candidate disease-causing variants and regulatory mechanisms involving FLI1 and ETV6, providing a foundation for investigating the pathogenesis of inherited disorders across diverse clinical contexts.
